Session Overview
When a 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck New Zealand in 2016, it not only shattered landscapes but also posed unprecedented challenges for the North Canterbury Transport Infrastructure Recovery (NCTIR) team, whose role was to swiftly restore and rebuild the critically damaged transportation infrastructure, reconnecting isolated communities and re-establishing vital links across the affected regions.
This webinar delves into NCTIR’s challenging journey, focusing on how they managed overwhelming data volumes, coordinated with diverse teams in harsh conditions, adapted quickly to changing design requirements, and maintained effective communication with stakeholders amidst ongoing seismic activity. Join Charlie Dickson, Stuart Hamilton, and Cameron Paintin as they offer insight into the strategic solutions, tools, and processes that helped steer the project towards success and ultimately aid the recovery and reconnection of communities.
What You’ll Learn:
- Seamless & effective collaboration across diverse and remote teams
- How to manage and organise large volumes of project data efficiently
- BIM delivery within a quality controlled and secure common data environment
- How to establish a single source of truth within a centralised location for all files & documents
- The power of proper document version control, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all project documents
